Ex-president Jonathan Celebrates Nigeria’s First Female Military Pilot

Former president Goodluck Jonathan has celebrated Blessing Liman, the first female military pilot which came to limelight during his administration.

Blessing flew Jonathan to Bamako, Mali, today and the former president was full of praise when he discovered she is the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) officer that emerged as Nigeria’s first female military pilot when he was president.

Jonathan is holding some engagements in Mali on behalf of Nigeria and West Africa.

“I am pleased to have been flown to Bamako, Mali, by a pair of Nigerian Airforce pilots one of whom is Blessing Liman, a committed NAF flying officer who emerged as Nigeria’s first female military pilot under our administration, ” Jonathan said after his arrival.

Blessing Liman who hails from Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State, was born on 13 March 1984.

The Air Force Officer which is a product of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria and Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna started her career in 2011 when Goodluck Jonathan was Nigeria’s president.
