A nongovernmental organization Project Naija Trust Foundation has conferred Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero with ‘royal icon of hope’ for Nigerian children.
Elanza News reports that the Foundation presented the appointment letter to Mr Bayero at the Emir’s palace, Kano
National coordinator of the Foundation Adewale Adenaike said the appointment was due to the emir’s commitment in promoting human capital development and rebuilding the nation from the grassroots – a legacy he adopted from his late father, Emir Ado Bayero.
Mr Adenaike observed that the emir’s national goodwill in connection with other well-meaning Nigerians is fundamental in ensuring the success of the initiative.
“Let it be known also that, in 2019, while His Highness was still the Emir of Bichi, he personally flagged off a community enrolment drive at Tsatse village in Kano to enable more children to go to school and learn.
“Against this backdrop, the Project Naija Trust Foundation is pleased to appoint HH, the “ROYAL ICON OF HOPE” for the Rapid Repairs Report program,” he said.
Mr Adenaike revealed that the Foundation has rehabilitated 35 schools across the six geopolitical zones including Kano.
In his remarks Emir Bayero expressed appreciation to the minister of state for education for his passion in reviving education in the country.
He assured his commitment to partner with the minister to achieve the desired goals.
Project Naija Trust Foundation is an NGO conceived by the Minister of State for Education, to strengthen the delivery of basic education in the various local communities in the country.
