The Kaduna State government said it will demolish any worship place in which members violated the lockdown rules imposed to curtail the spread of Coronavirus.

The government said in a statement signed by the special adviser to Governor Nasir El-Rufai on media and communication, Muyiwa Adekeye.

The statement further said that it is compulsory for all residents to wear face mask.

The statement said the government will provide the face mask for the less privileged but added that the wealthy individuals should buy it themselves and use it.

He said that the decision has become necessary following the spread of the disease in neighbouring states.
