Dr Chetachi Ecton (TirHam) Bags Global Female Philanthropist Of The Year Award


It was another feather for Dr. Chetachi Ecton founder of “When In Need Foundation” as she earned the award as the “Global Female Philanthropist of the Year” alongside other African movie stars and a political juggernaut in Nigeria.

The event which was held at Hotel Interconnect, Gwarimpa in Abuja, over the weekend attracted top Nollywood actors, Politicians and Philanthropists who have made a mark in different realms of endeavors.

Dr. Philip Hayab, who received the award on behalf of the founder of “When In Need Foundation” commended the organisers of the program for recognising the effort of Dr. Chetachi Ecton who has been putting smiles on millions of downtrodden Nigerians.

According to him, the award would further spur the philanthropist to alleviate the plight of many who have been suffering, adding that Dr. Ecton finds joy in putting a smile on the less privileged.

“The Dr. Chetachi Ecton whom I know would not relent in supporting the downtrodden, mostly women, youths and children and would continue to promote good governance at all levels.

While urging the organisers of the program to promote love, unity and togetherness to help deradicalise young people in society, Dr Hayab assured them that the award would further encouraged Dr Ecton to support the government to end poverty and insecurity in the country.

While responding, the Publisher of ASHBAB Global Impact Magazine said Dr Chetachi Ecton meritorious selection emanates from her role towards the eradication of hunger in Africa, offering humanitarian services, positive global impact, youth empowerments/mentorship, excellent leadership qualities which are evident in the public sphere.

According to the global impact initiator, the glamorous award was designed to celebrate notable individuals and brands that have made a positive impact all around the world, adding that it aims to bring to the centre-stage for celebration individuals and brands who have made valuable contributions to the growth of society, boosting their public image, creating a conducive ground for public acceptance of their brands, locally and internationally.

While tasking Dr Ecton to continue to work hard in promoting peace and development, the organizers of the award observed that a good leader such as Dr Chetachi Ecton (Tir Ham) who puts the plights of the poor and teeming masses at heart deserves to be celebrated.

LEADERSHIP reports that some of the awardees include; Senator Shehu Sani, an activist, Tontoh Dikeh, a Nollywood actress, Emeka Ike, a Nollywood actor, Channels TV, Arik Airlines, among many others.
