In the dynamic realm of Nigerian journalism, I extend my gratitude to colleagues and the public for their unwavering support.

Today, I shed light on the ominous Threats to My Life encountered in the pursuit of truth as a broadcast journalist.

Adeniyi Taiwo Kunnu, a seasoned journalist at Lagos Talks 91.3, as he unveils a series of threats, unknown identities, and disturbing incidents in the line of duty.

In the heart of Ikoyi, Lagos, at number 26 Keffi Street, off Awolowo Road, I, Adeniyi Taiwo Kunnu, confront an unsettling reality.

Over the years, the dissenting voices from my audience, once dismissed as an occupational hazard, have escalated into a palpable danger that demands attention.

On November 27 and December 8, 2023, my colleague Victor Obot Archibong relayed encounters with mysterious individuals inquiring about my whereabouts, hinting at their interest in my media affiliation.

Similarly, Nicholas Anyamene, on December 28 and 30, 2023, shared disturbing incidents involving individuals seeking information about me, leaving an unsettling feeling.

Colleagues at Lagos Talks 91.3 added to the disquiet on December 1, 4, and 13, 2023, recounting visits from unnamed persons inquiring about my outspoken broadcasts.

The gravity of these incidents weighed heavily on me, prompting a public disclosure on my weekly programme.

A sinister turn occurred on December 25, 2023, when an unknown Ibrahim Mohammed sent a threatening email, mentioning my absence and travels.

Subsequent emails on December 29, 2023, heightened the anxiety, emphasizing the danger posed not only to me but also to my family.

In the face of these threats, I bring this report to the media’s attention, urging collective vigilance and solidarity against those who oppose our vital role as guardians of truth in the Fourth Estate of the Realm.
