Using the lockdown free day on Wednesday, 29th April, 2020 some ladies in Zaria use the opportunity to sensitized residents and share locally made face mask.

The ladies also share the details in a Facebook group page named: Face of Zaria Ambassador 2019/20

Queen Jennifer Emmanuel, on her part, covered Unguwan Maigodo while Queen Comfort Julius shared the mask and sensitized the people of Congo area of Zaria.

The statement read; “Earlier today, Queen Jennifer Emmanuel
( Face of Zaria Ambassador 2019/20 )
took advantage of the free movement day, to dispatch a number of Ankara Face masks to some of the people at Angwa Mai Godo Street Zaria, For free.

It added that, “This is our own way of supporting the fight against coronavirus.

“Should In case you were not opportune to get the free face mask, don’t worry; we will be producing a large quantity of facemask soon, and it will be sold at a charitable sum of 100 naira each.

In another statement that was released, “Earlier today, Queen Comfort Julius took advantage of the free movement day, to sensitize the people on the street of Kongo, Zaria. On how to stay safe from COVID-19.

“Hopefully we will come out of this,. safe and hearty.
Meanwhile, the free lockdown day in Zaria was hectic due to the fact that workers in the state civil service had received their salaries and the lockdown was only on Wednesday till Saturday again. Everyone went out and the town and market in PZ area to AL’BABELLO to YAN-AYABA up to the market area there was a heavy hold-up as motorists had to spend hours in a distance of one or two kilometers.

In another development it was said that due to the large and high number of people in the market two people were reported dead due to high heat and lack of space for them to breathe fresh air.
