Following the increasing cases of the coronavirus in several parts of the Country including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, the Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Senator Danjuma La’ah, has appealed to his constituents to adhere strictly to all safety measures to help curb the spread of the virus.
La’ah, who made the appeal in a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Kaduna, lamented that the Covid-19 pandemic has become a major source of concern globally as no cure has been found despite new cases recorded on a daily basis.
He tasked people in the zone to ensure full compliance to the curfew imposed by the Kaduna State government.
He also urged the people to ensure safety measures like social distancing, regular washing of hands with soap and running water, use of hand sanitizers and maintenance of good personal hygiene.
He noted that In view of the poor healthcare delivery and facilities in the country, Nigerians should abide by government’s directives to save lives and prevent a further escalation of the pandemic.
According to him, the Covid-19 kills in a very shorttime adding that it does not care what political party one belong adding that there is no known ready cure for it now.
“Therefore, self isolation is the best option at this time,” the Federal legislator disclosed adding that he has made provision for hand sanitizers and nose masks in the eight Local Government Areas that make up the Senatorial District.
He appealed to drugstores and pharmacies in the area not to inflate the prices of the items in order for it to be affordable for everyone to curb the spread of Covid-19.
