Covid-19: NCDC Takes Sample Of Suspects In Kafanchan (Video)

The Nigerian Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC) in Kaduna State has taken the blood samples of the two ladies earlier suspected of Coronavirus in Kafanchan.
The team led by Dr Habila Kambai, arrived the Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital Kafanchan at about 1pm Monday.
The team leader said the ladies and one other person who is also suspected to have the virus did not meet the case definition of having coronavirus.
Dr Kambai explained that from the interaction they had with the suspects, none of the three cases is exibiting any of the symptoms of COVID 19 as earlier rumored in the social media.
He said the team had to take their samples for humanity sake and to further confirm their status when the results are out in the next 48 hours.
A medical doctor addressing nurses at the Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital Kafanchan shortly after the blood sample of people suspected to have Covid-19 was taken.
Addressing the community representatives at the hospital, the Chairman, Jema’a Local Government, Mr Peter Danjuma Averik, commended the team for coming to clear the air on the issue.
He urged residents to shun rumour and to always abide by the guidelines given by relevant authorities on COVID 19.
Our correspondent gathered that the two ladies are still isolated at the hospital, pending the outcome of the test results on Wednesday or Thursday this week.
