The youth wing of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU), has called all well meaning Sons and Daughters of the region to help the downtrodden in the area.
According to SOKAPU, the political class, Honourable Members of both National and state House of Assembly, Philanthropist, Religious leaders, Business Moguls, Technocrats should extend their kind gestures to the less privilege, vulnerable persons and groups in the region to cushion the effect of the lockdown which is affecting alot of people.
In a statement he personally signed, SOKAPU National Youth leader, John Isaac, also urged the people to obey all medical advises on the Covid-19 by observing social distancing, washing of hands regularly and the use of hand sanitizer.
“As we continue to follow and obey government’s directives by remaining at home and avoiding overcrowded gatherings as measures of staying safe from contracting the deadly COVID-19 and importantly staying alive, I want to use this medium to call on all well meaning Sons and Daughters of Southern Kaduna, the Political class, Hon Members both National & state Assembly, Philanthropist, Religious Leaders, Business Moguls, Technocrats alike to extend their kindly gestures in any little ways possible to the less privilege, vulnerable persons and groups in the region to cushion the effect of the lockdown which has no doubt affected economic activities in the region there by leaving our people helpless amidst hunger.
“This, I believed, will go a long way in arresting any form of youth restiveness and criminality particularly at this time of need. It is my sincere hope and believe that this moments are but for awhile and that Southern Kaduna will at the end comes out of this moments stronger and even more united. Stay Home, Stay Safe and Stay Alive,” Isaac said.
