Clergyman Summons Senior Citizens, Wants Ancestral Curses Reversed

By Sunday Isuwa, Abuja

The convener, Operation Catch the Fire Ministry, Apostle Emmanuel Egoh Bako, has gathered senior citizens, 60 years and above, urging them to reverse ancestral curses from their children.

The clergy also urged the senior citizens to proclaim good things for their children for a better society.

At a meeting with the senior citizens in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, at the weekend, Bako said for a better society, they must make proclamations that will change the tides not only in Southern Kaduna, but Nigeria as whole.

At the meeting tagged: “Just before you go”, Bako said it was aimed at redefining the next generation.

He said good proclamation from the senior citizens will create an impact that will outlive the older generation and reverse ancestral curses in the land.

Addressing the meeting, Bako said the purpose was to change the status quo where parents in the land who might have out-lived their youthfulness see the need to give a good foundation to their children to build on.

“Good proclamation from the senior citizens will create an impact that will outlive the older generation and reverse ancestral curses in the land. Senior citizens shy away from making declarations and proclamations that will speak into the existence of their children and grandchildren adding that he is working for a new society,” Bako said while encouraging the senior citizens to ensure that they built and create a family, community and regional tree of existence.

He said the gesture of the senior citizens will help so that the younger generation can key into it and benefit even after they have transited from life.

The convener also appealed to the older generation in the land, to ensure they teach their children the history of where they are coming from, so that they too can transfer the same to the future generation.

While emphasizing the need for parents to continue to pronounce and declare blessings on their children no matter the circumstance, Apostle Bako explained that doing so will no doubt create a bright future for them.

The meeting, which was attended by a good number of elders in the land, resolved to begin to make positive declarations, even as they also renewed their commitment to begin to guide their children on how to make decisions that will guarantee their future.
