Victims and residents of the affected areas of the Friday flood in Jalingo Taraba State capital agog as the state governor visited the affected areas promise to supply relief materials with immediate effect to ameliorate the losses of the victims.
While addressing the victims in Mayo-Gwoi on Sunday, the governor sympathize with the victims and called on the ministry of Land and Survey to be be proactive in giving direction to the people building there houses close to the river bank in other to avoid future occurrence.
According to him he said “I’m deeply saddened by this disaster, I feel your pain and I want to sympathize with you on this heavy downpour and flood that causes many people homeless.”
” I also want to add, that all of you that were affected we will assist you with immediate supply of food, and we will also look at how we assist you quickly to go back to your houses. And those that are too close to the river bank we maye advise you to leave those places”.
