The Bayero University Kano (BUK), says it will soon establish a testing centre for COVID-19 to help check the spread of the pendemic in the State.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Yahuza Bello, during a press conference.

He said the university is working hard at ensuring the citizens of the state are protected.

Bello, while speaking during a covid-19 press briefing at the Kano State government house, said the testing centre will help stem the pandemic.

The VC said that the testing centre will have the capacity to test 180 samples as against the 40 samples that were tested daily by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at the Aminu Kano University Teaching Hospital, Kano
