Benue Manhood Disappearance: Suspects On The Run To Unknown Destinations

One out of the two persons allegedly fingered in the disappearance of Manhood at Daudu Community in  Benue State has been arrested by the State Police Command.

Elanzanews gathered that Saka Iorhemba was whisked by the Police, while Prophet Jacob Uhembe who is the major suspect  of the crime escaped to an unknown destination.

A  stakeholders meeting convened by elders of the community on the 3rd of November 2020, reveal that Saka Iorhemba and Prophet Jacob Uhembe of the same address were alleged to have conspired to mystically perpetrate this act and extort money from their Victims as fee for healing them.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Catherine Anene, in a statement disclosed that the duo escaped being lynched by angry mob during a stakeholders meeting convened to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the genital organs in the community.

“In the heat of  an argument at the meeting to resolve the issue, the angry youths attempted to lynch the accused persons and in the process Saka was whisked away by the Police; while the Prophet escaped to an unknown destination”

Based on reports of the theft of manhood, Daudu Police Division  has commenced investigation into the case, and the alleged victims claimed to be experiencing dysfunctional male genital organs  and not total removal as earlier reported” 

She explained that the alleged victims were taken to  Benue State University Teaching Hospital where they were certified medically fit by a medical Doctor but they insisted that their genital organs were removed. 

While condemning in totality, violent approach of addressing issues, the PPRO said the command will deal with any violent person or group in accordance with the laws. 

The PPRO disclosed that eight suspects have already been arrested for actions capable to cause breach of peace and causing mischief.   

The Police Spokesperson advised members of the community  to employ dialogue as a strategy for  conflict resolution.
