Bandits Abduct 70 In Zamfara Village

Gunmen have launched a fresh attack at Rini village in Bakura local government area of Zamfara State abducting over seventy persons.

A source said unlike the usual trend of the bandits coming on bike, they were conveyed inside two Golf cars and a Canter.

He said although several calls were made to security agents at the time of the attack but no response, until the bandits were done with their mission, then two Hilux full of soldiers to the village and left

The Gunnen however, conveyed their victims unchallenged.

Police Spokesman, SP. Muhammad Shehu confirmed the incident but report that the figure of those abducted based on the record from the police stand at sixty six.

He explained that the police command has already deployed adequate number of its tactical officers to track the bandits and rescue the abductees.

The leadership recalled that, this was the second major attack in Bakura local government with one week as Sunday night the bandits attacked State College of Agriculture and Animal Health where students were abducted.
