The Governor of Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has revealed where terrorists attacking his state are coming from.
According to Soludo, 85 per cent of the criminals arrested for distabilising the state hail from a state that shares boundary with Anambra.
The Anambra State Governor said while 85 per cent of criminals arrested at different parts are from a particular state in the South East, added that 15 per cent are from others states of the same region.
Speaking during on-the – spot assessment tour of the burnt Aguata local government area secretariat in Ekwulobia, Soludo said they know where the criminals are coming to attack his state but could not mention name.
The Governor’s associates and close observers believed Soludo was referring to the neighbouring Imo State where the Eastern Security Network has its operational headquarters.
It was gathered that communities such as: Lilu, Ihiala, Orsumogu, Uli, and few others in Aguta, all in Anambra State share boundary with IPOB prone Imo State.
Soludo said the criminals are killing, kidnapping, raping innocent citizens especially in Aguluezechukwu and Ogboji communities.
“Security operatives in the state clamped down on them and in the process of fleeing, they set Aguata LGA headquarters ablaze,” Soludo said of the criminals.
Soludo, warned that those who refuse the offer to drop their arms would face the full wrath of the Law adding that he cannot allow criminals to intimidate innocent citizens.
“Anybody in the bush is a criminal and will be treated as such. We will come after criminals because the people’s power must triumph.
“We must create a liveable and prosperous homeland where peace, security and progress must thrive,” Soludo added.
