One of the many aspirants declared unsuitable to contest the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Primary election in Kaduna State, Ekene Adams, has been appointed as an advisor.
After he was declared unsuitable for the APC primaries in Chikun Local Government, Adams resolved to remain in the party and support any candidate that win the primaries.
The primary election is taking place today Monday.
Chairman of Northern Speakers Forum and Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Yusuf Zailani appointed Adams as Senior Special Adviser on Youths, Sports and Culture.
Adams is a Kaduna based sports administrator and philanthropist.
Zailani said Adams will served in the office of Northern Speakers Forum and will help them in the development of sports in the 19 Northern States.
Adams contested for the Chikun/Kajuru House of Representatives election in 2019 under the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) but lost to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate.
He joined the APC to contest for the Chikun local government chairmanship seat but was declared unsuitable by his party’s screening committee.
