The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has destroyed a notorious terrorists’ hideout at Arra within the Sambisa general area of Borno State.
The strike followed the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) to go all out and clear all terrorists’ threats after terrorists ambushed troops in Borno State.
A statement by the NAF Spokesman, Air Cdre Ehimen Ejodame, the strike followed October 17 2025 ambush on troops in Borno State where a Brigade Commander and soldiers were killed including Civilian JTF members.
He said the Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI after the directive on November 19, 2025, initiated the attack following series of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions tracked terrorist movements at Kashomri.
He said the persistent ISR coverage over Kashomri and Sambisa revealed suspicious activities and active terrorist structures at Arra, prompting a deliberate, intelligence-driven strike.
The statement said NAF air assets acquired and engaged designated objectives through coordinated, successive passes.
“The strike achieved its intended effect with the complete destruction of all identified targets, significantly degrading the terrorists’ operational capabilities and disrupting their command and logistics networks,” he said.
He added the successful mission underscored the NAF’s unwavering commitment to protecting the nation, supporting ground forces, and sustaining relentless pressure on terrorist elements across all theatres of operation.
