Agwam Bajju, Prominent Northern Traditional Ruler For Burial 

A prominent and first class traditional ruler in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, The Agwam Bajju 1, Malam Nuhu Bature Achi OON who joined his ancestors last year December is set for burial. 

According to the burial rites committee, Bature would be buried on 14 January, 2022 at the Palace’s permanent site in Zonkwa by 11am.  

The traditional ruler died on Saturday 18 December, 2021 at Salem Hospital Kafanchan.

Bature was 81 years. He left behind two children and a wife.

There has been mourning and expression of condolences from several people especially from the Northern extraction, including the Kaduna State government and the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU).

The advocate of constitutional role for traditional rulers, Bature, was an  entrepreneur, who founded the famous Modern Bookshop located at Rwang Pam Street in Jos, Plateau state and was the first monarch of Bajju Chiefdom, in Southern Kaduna.

He ascended the throne as the Agwam Bajju from 1995 to 18, December, 2021.
