After Governor’s Alert On Strange Aircraft, Gunmen Kidnap 2 In Bauchi

24-hours after Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, raised the alarm over strange hovering of an aircraft, gunmen have stormed Boi, a community in Bogoro local government area of Bauchi State and kidnapped Hajiya Khadijah Ardo, 40, and her baby.

In most of the communities in the Middle Belt, whenever resident saw an aircraft hovering around their airspace, an attack by gunmen will follow.

Governments at different levels have consistently debunked such claims but the latest revelation by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has given credence to the porous nature of the Nigerian airspace.

No institution has given a concrete answer over the claim that strange aircraft is hovering the Nigerian airspace but the Nigerian Air Force said on Wednesday it will investigate the governor’s claim.

The kidnapping of Khadijah and her daughter occurred have sent fear and panic in the minds of the residents of Boi and environs.

Malam Audu Ardo, Khadijah’s husband said the gunmen took advantage of his absence from home and whisked his wife and her baby to an unknown destination.

He said he was with his cows at a nearby village when the incident occurred.

“I went to the nearby village to see my cows there,” Ardo said

A resident of Boi, Mr Joel Tuta said since the incident, they have been living in constant fear of the unknown.

“We are living in fear since this incident took place. The gunmen came by mid-night and took away Khadijah and her baby,” he said.

A statement by the personnel of the Joint Task Force in Boi revealed that Hajiya Khadijah was kidnapped with her baby on 7th February 2022 at midnight.

The statement added that the security agents are doing everything possible to rescue the woman and her baby from her abductors in good health.

The statement read: “At about 1200 hours, villagers reported to our office the kidnapped case involving one Kadijah Audu Ardo by heavily armed gunmen.”

“We quickly mobilised our personnel and moved to the community.

“We are doing everything possible to secure the life of the woman and her baby,” the statement read in part
