Former governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko in continuation of his empowerment programme,
has given out no fewer than 1000 motorcycles, 10,000 bags of 50kg rice, sewing and water pumping machines to beneficiaries from his constituent.
Wamakko, whose personal residence in Sokoto play host and gives succor to over 1000 people on daily basis in the State, flagged off the large scale constituency empowerment initiative with Silame, Tangaza, Gudu amd Binji local government areas of the State.
Addressing the mammoth crowd onbehalf of the Senator, Sokoto State APC Youth Leader, Alhaji Nasiru Italy maintained that Senator Wamakko will always remain that individual who has interest of the entire state at heart.
A statement by Senator Wamakko’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bashar Abubakar quoted Nasiru Italy as saying the Senator is committed to genuine economic empowerment of the entire State.
“Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko’s leadership style is inclusive and his benevolence extends beyond his immediate Senatorial District of Sokoto north.
“Senator Wamakko’s commitment to economic empowerment of his people is unwavering and a clear testament to his unparrarel dedication to serving people of the State. And the gesture will continue in Kware, Sokoto North, Sokoto South and Wamakko local government areas of the State shortly, Nasiru Italy noted.
On his part, Sokoto State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Kabiru Ibrahim Kware Maintained that Senator Wamakko is a respected father and political leader in both the State, North and the country at large regardless of whatever affiliation.
“Senator Wamakko has brought succor to many, just as his commitment to empowering people equally endeared him to all with respect as well”.
Registering their appreciation, beneficiaries said, Senator Wamakko has been doing and will continue to extend his hands of benevolence to all.
According to them, the gesture which includes the provision of motorcycles, sewing and farming machines as well as the food items will go a long way in supporting their livelihood.
