Dr. Durunguwa, a former Federal Commissioner representing Kaduna State at the National Population Commission (NPC), was hailed as “a visionary leader, bridge-builder, and humanitarian” in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Forum’s Director of Media and Strategic Communications, Israel Bulus.

According to the Forum, Dr. Durunguwa’s life has been defined by integrity, service, and an unwavering commitment to unity, professional excellence, and community development.

The group particularly praised his interventions in fostering peace and understanding between Christians and Muslims in Southern Kaduna, noting that he played a key role in initiating dialogue and reconciliation during periods of heightened tension in the region.

“As Patron of SKPF, Dr. Durunguwa has been a source of wisdom, humility, and encouragement to our members,” the statement read. “He is celebrated not merely for the years he has lived, but for the lives he has touched, the bridges he has built, and the hope he continues to inspire.”

The Forum also recalled that during his tenure at the NPC, Dr. Durunguwa distinguished himself through diligence and impactful service, promoting initiatives that advanced youth empowerment, professional growth, and grassroots development.

It prayed for his continued good health, wisdom, and more years of impactful service to humanity.
