Comrade Usman Okai, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of ‘The Observers Times, announced the launch in a statement to journalists in Abuja.

We are here to tell stories that matter, from the political landscape to the human experiences that shape our society,” Okai said, emphasizing the outlet’s commitment to impactful journalism.

The newspaper aims to stand out by blending investigative reporting with engaging human-angle stories, alongside coverage of business trends and the vibrant entertainment sector.

Okai highlighted that ‘The Observers Times’ will prioritize accuracy, fairness, and amplifying underrepresented voices in its reporting.

The launch comes at a time when Nigeria’s media landscape is evolving, with digital platforms increasingly shaping how news is consumed.

The Observers Times is expected to compete with established outlets like Vanguard, Premium Times, and Leadership Newspapers,The Cable which also cover similar beats.

The outlet’s website, observerstimes.com.ng, is already live, featuring stories on political developments, economic updates, and cultural highlights.

Okai expressed optimism about the newspaper’s role in fostering informed public discourse and holding power to account in Nigeria’s dynamic socio-political environment.
