The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has expressed its profound condolences to the victims of the tragic petrol tanker explosion that took place at Dikko-Maje Junction along the Abuja-Kaduna Road in Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State on Saturday.

This unfortunate event resulted in the loss of several lives, as individuals attempted to collect fuel from an overturned tanker, while many others suffered various injuries.

During a visit to the General Hospital in Sabon Wuse, Niger State, NNPC Ltd.’s Executive Vice President of Downstream, Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi, conveyed his deep sorrow over the fatalities.

He prayed for the souls of the deceased to find peace and wished a swift recovery to those injured.

Mr. Abdullahi also called upon the public to exercise extreme caution and refrain from approaching fallen petrol tankers to avert similar tragic incidents in the future.

He reaffirmed NNPC Ltd.’s dedication to the safety and well-being of all Nigerians and emphasized the importance of raising awareness regarding the hazards associated with fuel-related accidents.
