The governors, after a meeting in Abuja on Thursday, had in a communique issued backed President Bola Tinubu’s controversial Tax Reform Bills.

In a statement issued by its National President, Ambassador Lawal Hussein Taiye said, “The consent of the 36 governors agreeing on the tax reform bills is a good sign that those in authority are moving in the same direction to salvage the country for better.”

Hussein, who is also the National Coordinator of Tinubu Mukeso Group believed that the tax reform bills represents a progressive and visionary step in reshaping Nigeria’s economic and social landscape.

According to him, for Nigeria to move forward in all spheres of life, those in authorities must agree on national issues meant to change the lives of the ordinary citizens for good, stressing that for the governors and other stakeholders in the country to have agreed to back President Tinubu on tax reform bills is good omen for Nigeria.

He advised Nigerians to see beyond any different in order to address national issues such banditry, insurgency, cattle rustling and other social vices that have brought serious setback to the country.

According to Hussein, President Tinubu’s tax reform bill is not about addressing present challenges but a visionary plan for long-term growth.

The youths called on Nigerians to support government policies meant to liberate the citizens from enslavement, stressing that the present administration of President Bola Tinubu has good intentions to ensure the country witnesses transformational development in all spheres of life.
