The Association of Residents Doctors (ARD) , University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada UATH has described Professor Bisala Ahmed Ekele, Chief Medical Director of the hospital as an asset, having transformed the tertiary health institution in the last seven years.

The body made this assertion on Tuesday, December , 17th, 2024, while confering on Professor Bisala Ahmed Ekele ‘merit award’ in recognition of his support to the association over the years.

They lauded the efforts at repositioning the hospital in the area of infrastructure, medical personnel and experts, medical equipments, drugs and other medicaments that had assisted in no small measure to the hospital.

While acknowledging the investiture as a result of hard work , diligence, dedication to duty , they also expressed gratitude to the CMD for attracting both public and private entities into supporting the growth of the hospital in all areas.

Responding, The Chief Medical Director, Professor Bisala Ahmed Ekele said he was overwhelmed by the honor done him by the association and dedicated the award to the staffers of the hospital.

He thanked the association for the singular recognition, stating that hard work, diligence and dedication to duty will not go unrewarded both in the public and private sector.

While promising to sustain the tempo of development of the tertiary health institution both in and out of the hospital, he advised the association to sustain their cooperation to the management of the hospital.
