Residents of Nasarawa North Senatorial District have urged Danlami Idris Odasco, the immediate past chairman of Nassarawa-Eggon Local Government, to contest for the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 elections, citing his leadership record and community impact.

In separate interviews, members of the Concerned Critical Stakeholders of the zone expressed optimism that Odasco’s tenure in the National Assembly would bring significant progress to the constituency. They highlighted his achievements during his time as council chairman as evidence of his capability to deliver results on a larger scale.

“Odasco’s exceptional leadership and contributions to peace and development in Nassarawa-Eggon make him the ideal candidate,” said Simon Dehai and Bichi Muhammad, who described him as competent, capable, and committed to serving the people.

Elder Tanko, a resident of Akwanga Local Government, emphasized Odasco’s strong grassroots connections and his track record of initiating development projects across the locality. “He has not only maintained a cordial relationship with his constituents but has also ensured equitable distribution of developmental projects,” Tanko noted.

Other stakeholders, including Tijani Marafa and Hosea Esla from Nassarawa-Eggon, commended Odasco for implementing youth and women empowerment programs as well as people-focused initiatives with direct benefits to the community.

The leader of the movement, Abdullahamid Haruna, a former chairman of the defunct CPC in Nasarawa State, said the call for Odasco to run for office was a collective appeal by the people. “His contributions to the well-being of the community make him the most suitable candidate for the House of Representatives. We hope he will answer this call to serve,” Haruna added.
