The Clerk of the House, Mahmud Aliyu, referred to the fire as a tragic event, stating that the blaze resulted in the destruction of properties valued at millions of Naira, although thankfully, no lives were lost.

“The management of the Zamfara Assembly is deeply shocked by the fire incident that took place on Sunday, which devastated the Speaker’s residence in Gusau,” Aliyu remarked.

Expressing condolences on behalf of the lawmakers and the entire assembly staff, Madaro conveyed sympathy to the Speaker and his family in light of this unfortunate event.

Aliyu encouraged the Speaker and his family to view the incident as a divine occurrence ordained by Allah. He also prayed for protection against any future disasters, adding, “On behalf of the entire staff of the House, I extend my heartfelt sympathies regarding this unfortunate incident.” (NAN)
