During a special Thanksgiving service held in Kafanchan, Chairman of the Association and Vision Pioneer of Throneroom Trust Ministry, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, emphasized the need for caution. While acknowledging the challenging economic conditions faced by the region, he cautioned against participating in protests that could potentially be disrupted by troublemakers, thereby hindering the healing of the land.

Apostle Kure appealed to the people to grant the government more time to address the issues caused by previous administrations. He expressed optimism in the current government’s commitment to inclusivity in appointments and executing projects, which has given the people of Southern Kaduna hope for a better future.

Vice Chairman of SKCLA and Catholic Bishop of Kafanchan Diocese, Most Rev. Julius Yakubu Kundi, highlighted the purpose of the Thanksgiving service. The event aimed to remind elected and appointed officers from the area of the significant responsibility they bear to represent the people faithfully.

During the service, the Guest Speaker and ECWA President, Reverend Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat Mallam, urged the officials to approach their roles with sincerity and dedication. He emphasized the importance of charting a new course for the people of Southern Kaduna, ultimately leading to a better quality of life for all.

In response to the association’s initiative, Mr. Amos Gwamna Magaji, the Member representing Zango Kataf Jaba Constituency at the House of Representatives, expressed gratitude for the Thanksgiving and prayer program. He acknowledged the positive impact it has had on strengthening the relationship among elected and appointed representatives from the region.

Moreover, Mr. Magaji took the opportunity to appeal to the people of Southern Kaduna, urging them not to participate in the planned protest scheduled for August 1. He emphasized the potential negative consequences if the demonstration were to be infiltrated by disruptive elements.

The SKCLA’s message highlights the significance of prioritizing healing and unity in Southern Kaduna. By focusing on constructive dialogue and giving the government the opportunity to address the challenges, the association aims to pave the way for a brighter future for the region.
