In a press release made available to the media in Kafanchan Jema’a Local Government Area Of Kaduna State, Professor Katuka emphasized the importance of constructive engagement and dialogue rather than resorting to acts of violence and criminality.

Professor Katuka, a renowned scholar in public administration and politics, urged the organizers of the protest to evaluate the present administration fairly and consider the historical context of the economic challenges facing the country. He also highlighted the need for Nigerian youths to contribute positively to the nation’s development by providing fresh perspectives and energy to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, governors, and local government chairmen.

The NNCPF President expressed concern that the planned protest seemed to be politically and ethno-religiously motivated, rather than driven by genuine concerns for the nation’s progress. He called for a focus on dialogue and peace-building as the best approach to addressing insecurity, food crisis, and the activities of criminal elements terrorizing farmers in Northern Nigeria.

Professor Katuka also urged the mentors of the youth protest to suggest practical solutions for ending banditry and protecting farmers. He emphasized the importance of demonstrating the protest in the forests to address the root causes of insecurity in the Northern hemisphere, which have adversely affected agricultural production.

Furthermore, the NNCPF President cautioned against using protests as a tool for change and development, urging the youths to engage with government officials responsible for policy formulation and implementation. He called on federal and state lawmakers, as well as political appointees, to transparently communicate government efforts to alleviate hardship and poverty, ensuring that the protest is averted in their constituencies.

Professor Katuka emphasized the need for fair judgment and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stressing the importance of inclusivity and respecting diversities in Nigeria’s fight against corruption. He urged the government at all levels to prioritize the growth and development of Nigerian youths, as they are the leaders of tomorrow.

In conclusion, Professor Katuka advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue adopting an inclusive approach in addressing corruption and promoting economic growth.

He also urged the government to take proactive measures to prevent organized protests by addressing youth unemployment and ensuring equal opportunities for all.

The NNCPF President expressed optimism that Nigeria will become a more prosperous and respected economic powerhouse through collective efforts and prayers for the nation’s growth and development.
