According to the organization, this initiative is designed to address pressing social issues such as human trafficking, drug abuse, domestic violence, poverty, and economic deprivation.

The program, which began on Monday, July 9, and will run through July 26, spans three weeks.

The inauguration of the event was conducted by the community chief, HRH Bulus Yerima Pada, District Head of Maitama, along with Hon. Adamu C. Shekwonya, Councilor of Kubwa Ward. Their presence underscored the importance of the program to the local community and highlighted the collaborative effort between the foundation and local governance.

In addition to local leaders, significant figures from broader governmental bodies were also in attendance. The mandate secretary of the newly established Women Affairs Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), represented by Mrs. Deborah Bonire, participated in the event.

Furthermore, the Permanent Secretary of the Social Development Secretariat of the FCT, represented by Dr. Sani Rabe, also attended, showcasing the program’s alignment with broader social development goals.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the National Coordinator for RHAGF, Mrs. Duru Regina, said this free, three-week skill acquisition training aligns with the foundation’s mission to empower individuals and families to achieve economic stability, especially during challenging economic times.

“The training aims to equip participants with practical skills that can lead to sustainable income, thus contributing to the alleviation of poverty and the reduction of related social issues. The program supports the government’s renewed hope agenda, emphasizing the importance of grassroots initiatives in driving national development.”

Continuing, she explained that upon completing the training, the foundation plans to provide the beneficiaries with startup equipment to facilitate the application of their newly acquired skills.

“This provision is crucial in ensuring that participants can immediately translate their training into income-generating activities, fostering self-reliance and economic independence.”

Meanwhile, the foundation called on well-meaning Nigerians, corporate entities, and international organizations to support their efforts. By contributing to this cause, donors can help expand the impact of such interventions, reaching more slums and underserved communities across Nigeria.

“The foundation believes that with adequate support, they can scale their programs, thereby significantly improving the quality of life for vulnerable populations.”

“We appeal to potential supporters is a crucial element of the program’s strategy, as sustained funding and resources are essential for the continuity and expansion of such impactful initiatives.

“The foundation’s dedication to addressing and mitigating social ills through practical skill acquisition and economic empowerment is a testament to their commitment to fostering long-term, positive change in Nigeria’s most vulnerable communities.

“Through collaborative efforts, community engagement, and the support of various stakeholders, the Regy&Henry Amazing Grace Foundation aims to create a more inclusive and supportive environment where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to society.
