For the hub of public health education in Nigeria, The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control NAFDAC led by Professor Mojisola Adeyeye has given much attention to staff development as panacea to myriads of problems bedeviling the development of the organization and by extension the administration of drugs as well as control .

Having identified such huge gap in staff orientation and reorientation at both low, middle and higher level , the urgent need to bridge the ugly development became sacrosanct, which led to the rolling out of a well concerted arrangements by undergoing training and retraining of staff of the agency, with a view to delivering on the mandate, but alive to current order and responsibility.

Staff development as the core of any establishment became one of the cardinal objectives of Professor Adeyeye, as she insisted that officers and men should be trained and retrained in their areas , so as to allow them assess more in road into management and development of public health education.

Without recourse to areas, professionals , administrators and other relevant organs that included the information and public relations unit were trained to bring on board modern and modest policies, innovations and development in the current health sector and administration.

With the dynamics in public health administration particularly the monitoring and identification of drugs that falls between counterfeit, fake and original ones , the need to continue to build capacity of staffers of the agency cannot overlooked.

With the high level training and retraining, no doubt the recurring scenario of flooding the market with fake and adulterated drugs, will be reduced to the barest minimum through identification and public health education.

Given the current sophistication in counterfeit drugs and administration, there is need to be a counter arrangement that will not only mitigate the effects of its availability and administration, but availability and accessibility for the use of unsuspecting Nigeria public.

Hence , the patriotic decision of the management of NAFDAC under the leadership of Professor Mojisola Adeyeye in prioritizing capacity building, development, training and retraining of all cadre of staff of the agency has not only bring on board new ideas , but updated staff yearning for such to enable them deploy same to the Nigeria public .

Contending with the current porous order in the pharmaceutical industry that had bedevilled drug administration and public health education, no doubt with the recurring capacity building and development, the unabated sharp practices deployed by drugs producers and administration will be reduced to the barest minimum.

For Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, the feat under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu coordinated from the previous administration, will not only fight against fake drugs management and administration, but also production of fake and adulterated drugs in the country.

All hands must be on deck to continue to support the five years leadership of Professor Mojisola Adeyeye as the Director General, National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control NAFDAC in Nigeria.
