Located on the outskirts of Lugbe, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Trademore Estate has faced the wrath of annual floods, with last year’s deluge claiming the lives of over five individuals.

In response to the tragedy, Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the FCT, visited the area and pledged government intervention.

However, despite the promise made by the Senator, tragedy struck again as Monday’s torrential rain inundated Trademore Estate, snatching away two unsuspecting victims in its relentless current.

Distraught and desperate, the residents of the estate are now pleading for the immediate assistance of FCT Minister, Barr Nyesom Wike.

In a video captured amidst the chaos, residents can be seen raising their voices, urgently appealing for help.

“FCT Minister, we are begging. This is Trademore Estate. Two persons just died now, the water took them away,” cries a woman in distress.

The footage showcases the extent of the devastation, with numerous houses submerged and valuable properties washed away.

Another resident, shocked by the destruction, exclaims, “Wow, see the police station. This is crazy, wow.”

The video serves as a distress signal, highlighting the urgent need for intervention and rescue efforts in Trademore Estate.

Elanza News reports that the residents of Trademore Estate implore the FCT Minister to take immediate action and address the recurring flood issue.

They emphasize the dire consequences of inaction, as lives continue to be lost and properties destroyed.

Their desperate pleas resonate with the anguish and fear that permeate the community.

Elanza News reports that the devastating impact of the flooding in Trademore Estate underscores the need for swift and comprehensive measures to mitigate future disasters.

The safety and well-being of the residents should be the top priority, and the government must fulfill its promise to protect and assist those affected by the recurring floods.

As the residents of Trademore Estate await the much-needed assistance, Elanza News reports that their resilience and hope remain unbroken.

They cling to the belief that their pleas will not go unheard and that the FCT Minister will come to their rescue, ensuring that no more lives are lost to the ruthless force of nature.
