“As an indigenous brand, our sponsorship of festivals aims to celebrate the unique customs and traditions of the Nigerian people. Our involvement in the Ojude Oba festival is a testament to our support for the rich cultural heritage of the Ijebu people,” stated Kaka.

Globacom’s partnership with the custodians of the festival highlights the company’s commitment to preserving the nation’s heritage through these significant events.

“We firmly believe that our continued support for Ojude Oba will enhance the festival’s status as a world-class carnival, attracting even more tourists from around the globe. This partnership will foster a mutually beneficial relationship between Globacom and Ijebuland,” added Kaka.

Chief Olu Okuboyejo, the Chairman of the Ojude Oba Planning Committee, expressed his gratitude to Globacom for its substantial support, which serves as a reminder of the historical significance of the festival to the Ijebu people.

The 2024 edition of the festival, with the theme “Unity and Harmony in Ijebuland…The gift of Ojude Oba,” marks the 18th year of Globacom’s sponsorship as the main partner of the Ojude Oba Planning Committee.
