In the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria’s Super Eagles are set to face off against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in a thrilling round of 16 encounter.
Securing the second spot in Group A, the Eagles won two games and drew one, while Cameroon clinched the second position in Group C with a victory, a draw, and a loss.
The highly anticipated match is scheduled for Saturday at 9:00 pm, promising intense football action.
The previous face-off between Nigeria and Cameroon took place in June 2021 during an international friendly, resulting in a lone goal victory for Cameroon and a goalless draw in the second match.
In the competitive arena, Nigeria emerged triumphant in the 2019 AFCON quarter-final clash, winning 3-2 with goals from Odion Ighalo and Alex Iwobi.

Notable encounters include the 2017 World Cup qualifiers, where the Eagles secured a 1-1 draw in Yaoundé and dominated Cameroon with a 4-0 victory on home turf.
