The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olubunmi Omotesho, underscored the training’s purpose—to acquaint participants with the intricacies of the university’s newly unveiled enterprise portal.

At the core of the event was the emphasis on perpetual skill acquisition. Prof. Omotesho urged attendees to seize this opportunity to adeptly navigate the innovative enterprise portal, aligning with the university’s commitment to avant-garde technology solutions.

This forward-thinking initiative, as reiterated by Prof. Rasheed Jimoh, the Director of Computer Services and Information Technology, is geared towards fostering a proficient IT team capable of constructing an ICT-driven academic landscape.

ÀThe university’s dedication to technological advancement is palpable, ensuring both staff and students thrive in a digitally evolving academic sphere.

Underlining this commitment is Prof. Jimoh’s assurance that the university’s ICT Policy and Strategic Plan are driving forces, propelling the institution to the forefront of technological innovation in academia.

Dr Abdulkarim Oloyede, the Ag. Director of Unilorin Centre for Research, Development and In-House Training, echoed this sentiment, envisioning the training as an empowerment tool.

It transforms IT staff from mere operators to active contributors, facilitating the success of the new portal.
