In the heart of the Plateau, an insidious darkness descends once more, carrying the harbingers of death and chaos.

Emerging from the abyss, these malevolent beings, offspring of the infernal realm, sought to extinguish the Christmas joy, leaving behind a trail of blood and sorrow.

Over two hundred lives have been claimed, and the haunting question persists – what, where, and who is next?

These murderers, architects of sorrow, have etched their legacy of blood and tears across the northern states.

The Nigerian state, seemingly blinded and powerless, now stands as a mere spectator to the orchestrated funeral processions that have become a macabre part of our national landscape.

In our desperation for solace, we find a grim reassurance that these killers do not discriminate based on religion, region, or ethnicity.

Whether churches or mosques, Christians or Muslims, all fall victim to this relentless orgy of violence.

Yet, amidst the chaos, a hidden agenda lurks, veiled by the choice of locations, communities, and the mysterious identities of these killers.

As hope dwindles, Nigerians lose faith in their government’s ability to safeguard them. Religious leaders, attempting to restrain their flocks, risk being swept away by the rising tide of anger.

The Nigerian state teeters on the edge, at risk of becoming an undertaker in the eyes of its disillusioned citizens.

Beside the Niger river, on the Plateau hills, and across the middle belt’s lush savannah, questions echo.

Who are these killers, and what drives them? Where do they find shelter, and who sponsors their malevolent deeds? As the north becomes a breeding ground for bloodshed, the intelligence community must unravel the web, exposing the faces behind the shadows.

The response to these tragedies has seen an uptick in government efforts, yet mere rapid reactions fall short. Rebuilding shattered communities demands more than physical infrastructure; it necessitates strategies to mend hearts and rebuild societal resilience.

The sophistication of security agencies is questioned, urging a reset of the national security architecture.

Investigations must transcend mere excuses, demanding transparency and accountability.

The media and citizens alike must hold the government accountable, ensuring that justice is served to both criminals and victims.

Without addressing the root causes and bringing malevolent actors to justice, the nation remains ensnared in a cycle of violence.

National security requires profound intellectual analysis and a clear vision of the nation’s goals.

As we navigate this crucible, a holistic approach rooted in deep understanding, rather than ad hoc solutions, is imperative.

May the new year herald the healing of our beloved nation – a restoration of communities and a renewed hope for the future. Happy New Year, and may God bless our dear country.
