In a shocking turn of events, Hamisu Danjibga, a dedicated reporter with the Voice of Nigeria (VON) in Zamfara State, met a tragic fate at the hands of his own cousin, Mansur Haruna, along with an accomplice, Ibrahim Garba.

During a press briefing in Gusau, Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Shehu, disclosed the grim details of this heinous crime.

The key perpetrators behind this dreadful act were none other than Danjibga’s own nephew, Mansur Haruna, and his close friend, Ibrahim Garba.

The shocking revelation was that the victim’s kin had collaborated to orchestrate his kidnapping.

When Hamisu Danjibga resisted their sinister intentions, the situation escalated tragically.

In a horrifying twist, the culprits resorted to stabbing the journalist, ultimately leading to his untimely demise.

The brutality of this act sent shockwaves throughout the community and beyond.

Subsequent to their arrest, both Mansur Haruna and Ibrahim Garba confessed to their reprehensible crime during the police investigation.

Their admissions shed light on the dark motives behind the kidnapping and the tragic events that followed.

In a significant development, several personal items belonging to the late Danjibga were recovered from the two suspects.

This provided a semblance of closure for the grieving family and served as critical evidence in the ongoing investigation.

In a parallel development, Commissioner Shehu also paraded three additional individuals, suspected to be part of a notorious gang of bandits.

These criminals were believed to specialize in kidnapping and perpetrating acts of sexual violence against women, further underscoring the urgent need for law enforcement intervention.

Moreover, another person was apprehended for alleged involvement in the supply of arms, with the source traced back to Abia State.

This discovery raises concerns about the intricate network of arms trafficking, calling for heightened vigilance and security measures.

Commissioner Shehu reiterated that, once the investigation is concluded, all the suspects involved in these distressing crimes will be brought to justice through court prosecution.

This reaffirms the commitment of law enforcement to uphold justice and ensure that those responsible for these tragic events face the full weight of the law.
