It said the country witnessed a high increase in the attacks on communities and farmlands, aside kidnappings and clashes between herders and farmers in the past seven years.

MOSIEND National President, Kennedy West, spoke yesterday in Port Harcourt during the inauguration of new clan executives of the central zone of the organization.

West called on the President-elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to protect the interest of other ethic nationalities in Nigeria when he eventually assumes office on May 29, 2023.

He stated that the most recent cases of such killings occured in communities in Bayelsa State, where at least, four lives were lost.

The MOSIEND President accused Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri of tackling the issue of attack on communities by non-natives with soft hands.

Earlier in his address, Chairman of Central Zone of MOSIEND, Tari Zidougha, advised security agencies to be alive to their responsibilities.

Zidougha called on the newly commissioned clan executives to protect their various communities from external attacks.
