The Association of Northern Political Correspondent Forum has appealed to all candidates contesting for speaker of the House of Representatives in the 10th Assembly to step down for Hon Tajudeen Abbas.

According to the group, many are qualified for the job but added that Abbas is the man that is fit for the job.

In a statement issued and made available to newsmen in Abuja, the group said after beaming its search light on all contestants, the forum found Tajudeen as most qualified and outstanding for speaker of the house of representative.

The statement said, if the country is to move forward for a change, Abbas is the answer because he will consider the plight of the ordinary man on the street and fight for what belongs to them through legislation,” the statement added.

Adding to that, the group said Abbas is humility personified and a trusted fellow that will consider the ordinary man on the street if he becomes the next speaker.

The forum, therefore, called on all new members to tow the path of trust and care for the people by voting for Abbas rather than being deceived by candidates who will use money to entice them and also give them fake promises which will end up creating enmity and fight in the house.

The group also charged the incoming members to have a rethink by putting their heads together and thinking deeply on the qualities of a good leader so as to vote for Abbas.
