Ahead of the Saturday’s Gubernatorial and Houses of Assembly elections, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Kaduna State Chapter has called on citizens not to despair but demonstrate their believe in the system by coming out to exercise their franchise.

The State Chairman, Apostle Emmanuel Egoh Bako stated this in a statement he personally signed and issued on Tuesday.

He noted that it was time for voters in the State to vote out people who cannot protect their lives and property, stressing that the people of the state have suffered in the past from inhumane policies and deliberate manipulation of ethnic and religious sentiments.

He called on all eligible voters to come out en masse and exercise their civic responsibility without being intimidated by the actions of others. This is the starting point of a turn around that we want to see in our society,” Apostle Emmanuel Egoh said.

He added that no one should stay back and hope for the best, adding that is not wisdom and it is not a safe option to contemplate.

“It is time to vote for unity out of our diversity, while praying for a free, fair and peaceful election.

The clergy observed that governance was supposed to discover, acknowledge, harness and develop the diverse potentials across their demography and not setting citizens up against one another through intentional manipulation along ethnic and religious affiliations.

” Kaduna State as a miniature of Nigeria, yearns for leaders that would unite our diversity more than ever. This is what I hope to see after the election on Saturday.

” Therefore, I advise both political actors and members of the public to shun actions that can alter the peaceful atmosphere.

Commenting on the attack in Ungwan Wakili in Zango Kataf Local Government Area, Apostle Egoh condoles the entire Atyap Land over the unsavory incidence in which about 17 precious lives and property were lost while praying to God to comfort the families that lost their loved ones and heal those injured.

He also stated that this is not the time to give up and stand aloof.
He calls on voters to get involved by deciding the kind of future and society they want. A good country, he said “is not an accident of history but a result of deliberate and consistent hard work, sacrifice and faith.”
