DSP Nansel said the children, who were kidnapped by unknown gunmen on January 20, 2023, on their way to school, were recovered at a bush in Doka village of Keana Local Government Area of the state.

According to the Police Spokesperson, a joint security team, assisted by vigilantes and local hunters, had mounted continuous pressure on the kidnappers, leding to the rescue of the children.

He assured the public that the freed schoolchildren were in “physical good health” and would be reunited with their parents after medical examinations have been carried out on them.
