The Northern Youth Frontiers (NYF), a coalition of youth groups across the 19 Northern states, has reaffirmed its support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, while commending the massive turnout at the presidential campaign rally in Kaduna.
The coalition also praised Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, for his leadership and grassroots mobilisation, which it said contributed to the success of the rally.
In a statement issued by the Coordinator of Northwest Northern Youth Frontiers, Saminu Turaki, the group described the turnout as evidence of continued support for Tinubu’s leadership and vision in Northern Nigeria.
Turaki congratulated the President on the rally’s success and commended traditional rulers, community leaders and residents of the region for their participation.
He said: “The spectacular outing in Kaduna is a clear testament to the unalloyed love, confidence, and overwhelming support that the people of Northern Nigeria continue to repose in the leadership and vision of President Tinubu.
“We warmly commend the traditional rulers, community leaders, and the resilient people of the region who came out in their hundreds of thousands to demonstrate their solidarity.
“Special appreciation and kudos must be given to the Game Changer and Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari. Through his pragmatic leadership, strategic vision, and tireless grassroots mobilization, Senator Yari has once again proven to be a master strategist and a true champion of political unity and organization.
“His extraordinary stewardship has energized the youth demographic across the North and set a high benchmark for campaign excellence.”
He said Yari’s strategic leadership, organisational skills and grassroots mobilisation had energised young people across the North and set a high standard for political campaigns.
He also called on political stakeholders to conduct their activities peacefully and responsibly to safeguard national unity and stability.
Turaki said: “As the political atmosphere gathers momentum, the Northern Youth Frontiers strongly calls on all opposition parties and political actors to desist from any actions, utterances, or campaigns of calumny capable of overheating the polity.
“Elections should be a contest of ideas, developmental plans, and track records, not an avenue to sow seeds of discord, ethnicity, or religious division. We urge all stakeholders to embrace peace and decorum throughout this campaign season.
“Furthermore, the Northern Youth Frontiers unequivocally reiterates its firm resolve to secure a deserving second term for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This endorsement is rooted solidly in his remarkable performance, patriotic dedication to nation-building, and economic reform agenda, as well as in the interest of fairness, justice, and national stability.
“President Tinubu has demonstrated courageous leadership in steering the nation toward sustainable growth, and the North stands ready to ensure the continuation of these transformational policies for another term.”
