Youths supporting the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara State have commended the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation, Yazeed Shehu Danfulani, for his reported support for youth empowerment and community development.
The commendation was contained in a statement signed by the group’s Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Ibrahim Gusau, on Tuesday.
The group said Danfulani’s contributions to young people extended beyond his current position at NAIC, citing his engagement with youths across different communities in Zamfara State.
According to the youths, Danfulani has supported emerging talents and remained accessible to young people seeking opportunities and assistance.
They also highlighted his community engagement and public service activities before his appointment as head of NAIC.
The group said his leadership journey did not begin with political office, noting that he had been involved in community activities and youth engagement before his appointment.
The statement said, “Danfulani’s emergence did not begin with political office.”
The youths said his relationship with young people across the state had helped create opportunities for interaction and support for their aspirations.
They added that his engagement with youths cut across different communities and backgrounds.
The group further said Danfulani’s support for young people included initiatives aimed at personal development, empowerment and creating opportunities for individuals across the state.
The youths also acknowledged the role of the Minister of State for Defence and former Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, in the Federal Government.
They described Matawalle as a prominent political figure from Zamfara State in the President Bola Tinubu administration.
The group said Danfulani’s appointment to lead NAIC provided an opportunity for him to apply his experience in community engagement and youth development to public-sector administration.
It urged political appointees and public servants from Zamfara to remain focused on development, youth empowerment, economic opportunities and effective representation.
The youths said such efforts would support the broader objectives of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
They also expressed appreciation for Danfulani’s continued engagement with young people and his involvement in community-focused initiatives.
