Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan won the bronze medal in the women’s 100m hurdles on Day 7 of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Amusan clocked 12.60 seconds to finish third in the final after clipping a hurdle, which made her lose pace in the closing stages of the race.
Jamaica’s Megan Simmonds claimed the silver medal in 12.41 seconds, while the Bahamas’ Devynne Charlton won gold in 12.33 seconds.
The result ends Amusan’s reign as Commonwealth champion after winning gold at the 2018 Gold Coast Games and successfully defending her title at Birmingham 2022.
Victory in Glasgow would have made her the second woman to win three consecutive Commonwealth titles in the event since Pam Kilborn’s run for Australia at the 1962, 1966, and 1970 Commonwealth Games.
Amusan’s bronze increased Nigeria’s bronze medal tally to three and took the country’s overall medal haul to 16, and fifth on the Commonwealth Games medals table.
