AHEAD of upcoming elections, key stakeholders of the Labour Party in Igbere Ward B, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, have rallied behind Governor Alex Otti and vowed to secure victory for all party candidates.

The commitment came during a stakeholders’ meeting and courtesy visit to Dr. David Anyaele, Chairman of the Abia State Disability Commission and leader of the ward’s stakeholders.

In a communiqué issued after the meeting, the group praised Governor Otti for his purposeful leadership and developmental strides across the state. They highlighted ongoing and completed projects in Igbere and Bende, including the flag-off of the Umunnato Specialist Hospital and the commissioning of the Okafia and Umuisi Primary Healthcare Centres.

The stakeholders also commended Bende Local Government Chairman, Uwabunkeonye Bassey, for his grassroots development efforts.

They congratulated Dr. Chima Anyaso on his emergence as the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency and pledged full support for his campaign. Similarly, they applauded Nnamdi Ibekwe, member representing Bende North State Constituency, for his effective representation and congratulated him on retaining the party’s ticket.

The group passed a vote of confidence in Dr. Anyaele for fostering unity and collaboration within the ward, while also praising residents for their peaceful conduct during the party’s recent primaries.

To strengthen the party’s grassroots structure, stakeholders resolved to intensify voter registration and community engagement ahead of future elections, ensuring Labour Party maintains its stronghold in Igbere Ward B and the wider Bende area.
