On 8 June 2026, implementers of the GF/IHVN Integrated Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) Project held stakeholder visits in Jalingo LGA. They engaged Mr. Jallason D. Yuguda, Director of Planning at the Taraba State AIDS Control Agency (TACA), over the lack of HIV test kits at Sabon Gida Health Clinic and Tudun Wada PHC in Donga LGA, and insufficient supply at Mayo-Lope PHCC in Lau LGA.

In a separate meeting, the team raised malaria commodity shortages with Dr. Ibrahim A. Musa, Programme Manager of the State Malaria Elimination Programme (SMEP), including ACTs and mRDTs at Galea MDG Clinic in Kurmi LGA, and lack of routine insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) at Tampwa PHC in Takum LGA.

Alhaji Muhammed Tanko Danburam, State Chairman of ACOMIN Taraba State, said: “The availability of essential health commodities is vital to effective HIV and malaria service delivery. We urge stakeholders to strengthen the supply chain system to ensure uninterrupted access to these life-saving commodities.”

Mr. Yuguda assured the team that HIV testing commodities would be supplied once funds are released. Dr. Musa committed to prioritising ACTs and mRDTs during the next Last Mile Distribution (LMD) cycle, scheduled before the end of June 2026.
