The encounter at the Parc des Princes featured relentless attacking football, VAR interventions, and multiple momentum shifts, leaving the tie finely poised ahead of the return leg.

Bayern took an early lead through Harry Kane’s 17th-minute penalty, but PSG responded swiftly. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia equalised with a composed finish before João Neves headed the hosts in front from a corner. Michael Olise then restored parity for Bayern with a stunning long-range strike.

PSG regained the advantage just before half-time when Ousmane Dembélé converted from the spot following a VAR review, sending the home side into the break with a 3–2 lead.

The second half maintained the same frantic tempo. Kvaratskhelia and Dembélé each added their second goals of the night to extend PSG’s lead to 5–2, appearing to put the tie beyond Bayern’s reach. However, the Bundesliga giants mounted a spirited comeback: Dayot Upamecano headed home from a set-piece, and late pressure reduced the deficit further, setting up a tense finale.

Despite Bayern’s late surge, PSG held on to secure a narrow victory in a match defined by attacking brilliance and defensive frailty on both sides. The result leaves the tie delicately balanced, with Bayern expected to push for a comeback in the second leg.
