The Department of State Services (DSS) has brought former Kaduna State governor Nasir el-Rufai before a federal high court in Abuja for allegedly intercepting a telephone conversation belonging to National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu.
The ex-Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister is facing a five-count amended charge in connection with the incident.
When proceedings commenced on Thursday, the prosecution informed the court that the original three-count charge had been revised to five counts. Presiding Judge Joyce Abdulmalik subsequently struck out the previous charge.
El-Rufai pleaded not guilty to all five counts.
