Nollywood actor Chidi Mokeme has expressed appreciation after movie icon Omotola Ekeinde, popularly known as Omosexy, described him as her favourite actor.
Omotola made the revelation during an interview with Pulse TV, where she openly praised Mokeme’s acting prowess and influence in the Nigerian film industry.
Reacting via his Instagram page, Mokeme said he had received numerous direct messages from fans of the actress following the viral clip. He also reaffirmed his admiration for the veteran star.
“Our Favourite Actor’s Favourite Actor. All my O’Sexy fam have been flooding my DM with this clip. Thanks, fam. Love you @realomosexy. We stay intentional. Eze Nnunu,” he wrote.
The actor had earlier stepped away from the screen after battling Bell’s Palsy, a condition that affected his facial muscles. However, he staged a major comeback in 2022 with a lead role in Shanty Town, a Netflix production by Ini Edo, which returned him to the spotlight.
Mokeme first gained widespread recognition as host of the Gulder Ultimate Search reality show and has since featured in several notable films including To Kill a Monkey, Merry Men 3, ’76, Out of Breath, and Tokunbo.
In 2025, he clinched the prestigious Silverbird Man of the Year Trailblazer Award, adding to a growing list of honours earned over his decades-long career.
