A group of youth organisations under the aegis of Youths in Support of Yerima (YSY) has urged a former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Ahmad Sani Yerima, to prioritise his 2023 presidential ambition in the interest of the country.
This is contained in the communique of the first annual meeting of the association and South-west zonal caucus meeting held on Saturday at the Lekan Salami Sport Complex Ibadan.
The communique was jointly signed by Abdulkareem Bello, National Secretary and Comrade Oluyemi Olusina, National Youth Leader.
The various state executive was formally inaugurated by the national Youth leader, Comrade Oluyemi Olusina, while the Oyo State local government youth leaders from the 33 councils in the were equally done by the South west coordinator, Kazeem Ademola.
In his opening remark, the national youth leader said he was impressed with the large turnout of the youths and arrangement is on ground to visit Senator Yerima after completing the states tour to let him know that the youths are in his support.
“He should answer the clarion call to come out and contest for the President of our great nation Nigeria come 2023 in order to complete the good work President Muhammadu Buhari is doing because he is the only candidate that can transform Nigeria from this present position to a developed country, Alhaji Sani Ahmad is a leader who is well committed to his follower and he also believe in the youths,” he said.
Oluyemi also task the youths to be of good behavior and that they should not relent in their effort till Yerima become the president of Nigeria, saying that with him the future of the youths and the common man is assured.
He said, “We are calling on all the state executive in the South-west to meet up the target of one million youth support in each state.”
